Happy Birthday Ian... sweet 16 ...I hope you enjoyed your day. Looking forward to seeing you at Easter!! Please let me know if there is anything in London that may interest you...I went by the MAC store on Oxford Circus today and thought of you.

Rachel had some friends sleep over last weekend and we had company from Fairfield for breakfast..Bob got sick once they left so I was on solo pilot for the weeekend..trying to keep the girls occupied and quiet. We did find some time to do some shopping on the Kings Road in Chelsea..very nice.

Monday I attended a lecture by a curator from the Hermitage..the topic was Russian gardens with English souls..how English style gardens were established by Catherine the Great then how they evolved become to the quintessential Russian gardens of today..very interesting, believe it or not. I then walked around and went to Christies Auction House to see what shows were coming up..very fun to check that scene out and see all the wonderful antiques and art..nothing in my budget but fun to see and touch..

Lauren got sick on Tuesday this week and was home for 2 days..off to school today feeling better.

Our friends Brenda and Eloise came with their friends from Westport, so we brought them to dinner last night at Il Portico - wonderful food and service as usual - and then today after a wonderful breakfast at their lovely hotel in Covent Garden and did some sightseeing..the Churchill War Bunker and Musueam, feeding the ducks at St James Park, walked by St James castle, Buckingham Palace, art galleries and lunch at a British pub style food restaurant. Then I left them to pick up the girls from school. Nice to see some friendly faces - even if they had hives :) and meet some new ones!

Maureen, Aine and Thea - friends from GFA - are coming to see us tommorrow and spend the night..should be fun to spend time with them..its fun to see London with new people, everyone has something unique that appeals to them.

I wish I had some more interesting things to share..I will fill with photos, as domestic life is domestic life.

Love to you all and miss you!!

Amy
