Winter 2010...Naples and Venice

School Items:
Rachel won her Year 6 speech competition with a Proverb, Seasons...followed the next day by Lauren's Literary Dial a Date where she played Edward Cullen to a very lively audience.
Lauren and I met the Kelley's in Venice. Kate is studying in Florence this semester, and the family came to visit her for a week. Lauren and I had a great time shopping, eating, site seeing, gondola-ing, eating and shopping...
Visitors:
Maureen Collins and the girls paid us a brief afternoon visit, and Sue was here for work and we enjoyed her company for dinner and a full day of walking through Portobello looking for gifts to bring home.
Misc:
The winter finally appears to be coming to an end. I found this winter really knocked me down emotionally, so I am happy to see the sun and get back out there. I have been enjoying my art history studies and am considering going for a degree in the fall...in the midst of interviews and applications...we shall see.
Bob's back is better but still gives him trouble, especially after plane flights, which is an almost weekly occurance.
Rachel slipped on the stairs this weekend and is in an air boot, nothing broken thankfully, but she is gimping around at the moment.
I helped host a Quiz Night at the girls schools last weekend...lots of fun and raised some money for the schools capital campaign. Bob and I attended the opening of the Quilt exhibit at the V&A last night - really good show, some very moving quilts, believe it or not...worth a visit.
Planning our Easter trip home...see you all soon!!
