House inside was spared, but yard and gardens were sink holes of destruction.  Our beach was a disaster.

Eight days with no power, heating water to shower on the stove, feeling pretty grimy by day 8, then AMEN, the boys from Georgia restore power and we hit Jonathan's 50th clean and ready to celebrate!

We moved from 41 Argyll to a new Flat in Oakwood Court in October, and after that, I treated myself to a weekend in Miami with Joanne and my parents.

It poured the entire weekend, but we still managed to have a great weekend, good food, great company and loads of laughs!




Christmas in Connecticut was nice - the restoration of the property after Irene is going very well and by summer 2012 all will be as it was.

Great to catch up with our zany families ~






Then off to the Reef with Vinny for a super sunny start to 2012!!

Easter 2011 in Connecticut   We did a whirlwind 4 day trip back to 06443 and had a nice visit with the family and enjoyed egg hunts, golden eggs on a foggy beach, and family time in Madison...it was still cold and grey - but only 9 weeks until Summer 2011! Book Signing with James Frey Lauren and I went to a Grazia book club signing with James Frey, author of Million Little Pieces, and his latest book, The Final Testament of the Holy Bible...he described his being dropped by his US publisher after the Oprah public flogging, but enjoys being in Europe and has released his latest book overseas only..Lauren got her book signed and we had one signed for Tommy who was a MLP fan. Disney Paris - April 2011 with Oki and Meg While Rachel was on her ski trip to Montgenievre in France, and Lauren was studying for her GCSE exams, I took Meg and her friend to Disney Paris for 4 days...it was pure innocent bliss - the girls were so happy and appreciative it was a real enjoyabl...

The Cruise- Monday- St Tropez

 Welcome to sunny splendid StTropez by the sea-   Made famous by Bridget Bardo in her 1960 film   She and many other famous people call St Tropez home and I can see why  - charming old alleys and shops mixed among cafe and the water is everywhere   So amazing  these photos do not do it justice    Met a sweet young couple at this cafe from Greenwich  (voted for Bob)  on their 2nd wedding anniversary   Youngest people we have spoken to in a while haha! Came off the ship on to tinders today   A but bumpy but a lovely little trip  Then a rough and late night at sea.
