Happy 2010!!

We have now passed our 3 year mark here in London..(well, excluding Fall 2008)..On one hand, it feels like yesterday, on the other like we have been here forever.

Holidays 2009

We enjoyed a long holiday vacation with family in Madison and Miami...weather was cold in both places - great snow storm in Madison was GREAT for the kids to get out and enjoy..cold in Miami not so much :(

The highlight of the Christmas visit had to be meeting little baby Josie Wilson. It was our first stop when we landed and she stole our hearts with her sweet temperament and cute face. What a great little girl - well done Josh and Em. Big sis and brother seem to be adjusting well and that family is still so wonderfully calm.

I spent quite a bit of time working on Grampy Stef's family tree, visiting cemeteries and archiving in the New Haven Library for new bits and pieces to add to his genealogy. I ended up with quite a good size binder as a starting point for us. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to fine tuning it with him over the years.

It was great to see Nana and Papa over Christmas as always, Nana is a joy.

Disappointed not to be able to organize the HERCC Holiday dinner, but there is always the summer!!

The Stef Christmas was a lot of fun - next year, no rum toddy's from Austin though. Kids had a great time and the gift swap was a real laugh as usual. I felt like we had lots of Stef time this holiday, which we really enjoyed. I especially love to see how nicely the cousins get along - they have a great time together, which is the most endearing part. They do a better job than us staying in touch between visits.

I was able to spend some nice time with my dearest, oldest friend, Joanne, which was very enjoyable, even if she teased me for being a bit too tidy (like her mom). We wish them all well as they send Chris off to the Army this week to basic training. Tough to let our kids go, even harder when we are at war.

New Years was spent in Miami with the Kosh's...the weather started off great but turned cold quickly, forcing us to up the pool heat, preheat towels and bundle up. Twins drove us nuts with golf cart keys and driving, but all the children were excellent - wish I could say the same for some adults :)

Mimi and Papa visited as well bringing Mr and Mrs Tantorski to check out the bathroom remodel and new windows..then of course the heat died and we all woke up freezing...so sorry...It was a nice visit anyway, even if a bit chilly.

Back to School
So now we are back to flute, clarinet and guitar lessons, netball, tennis, meditation, book club, art history and sore backs...same old same old....

Cousin Kate starts a winter semester in Florence and so far is loving being there..so envious.

Looking forward to February break in Florida with the entire Wilson clan.

We sad a sad goodbye to Nana's cousin Rosie after a hard fought battle with cancer. Nana can't stop talking about how well her children worked together to see to every need when she was ill. Rosie, you will be missed.

Sorry no photos - may ask Em for some Christmas ones, she is good with that :)

Lots of Love from London
