Good Bye Kosh's...hello summer
Thursday Megan was home with a uti, not fun, I spent the morning with the doctor and pharmacist and got her feeling better.
The Kosh's and Rachel went to the Tower of London, via a boat ride along the Thames. The weather was perfect all week, sunny and warm enough.
They enjoyed seeing the Tower and had lunch at Wagamamma's - visit 2.
Thursday night was a quite one at home, after dinner at Il Portico - visit 2.
Friday, Cindy and I went off to Paris, after dropping a much better Megan (and Rachel) back to school. Dean took the boys to the Science and Natural History Museum. Bob took the day off work to hang out with the Kosh's.
In Paris, we went and saw the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo at the Louvre, walked through the Jardin de Tuilees, the Place de la Concord, had lunch in an outdoor cafe, enjoyed hot chocolate and amazing pasteries at Angelinas and walked an hour to the Eiffel Tower, which looks closer than it is.
We saw the Hotel Des Invalides, the amazing bridges and amazing scenery. It is a lovely city, and one day was not enough, but we made the most of it. We had a fun ride home on the Eurostar train and then stopped at Sticky Fingers for a night cap...great day.
Saturday was shopping at Harrods and Harvey Nichols, lunch at Wagamamma - 3rd visit - and playing in Holland Park and the IMAX movies.
When the Kosh's left on Sunday, the house was too too quiet, so we ran to the Science Museam to kill the afternoon, then home to pack for our return on Tuesday.
It was a great visit that went too too quickly.
I need to get my girls out the door for their last day of school, and pack and get the house organized and the dog ready for his journey...busy day...see you on your side of the pond!!!
