The Museum trip to Paris

We made trip #3 to Paris this weekend, on a museum tour.  I have finished a Western Art survey course and was excited to see some of these paintings andsculptures I have learned about on slides in London.

We took the Euro star train, and stayed at the Hotel du Louvre, right outside, guess where?  The Louvre...wonderful hotel and perfect location.

Upon arrival, Bob took the girls shopping with Carl - you must see Megan's Hello Kitty Birkenstock and Mick Jagger sweater - omg...only in Paris...

I went and toured the Louvre, focusing on the Renaissance art and sculpture..I needed time without the girls to really take in this amazing collection...

We met after for a lovely dinner of Italian food in Paris..bella!!

The next morning we went to the Musee D'orsay, which was an old railroad station which now holds art of the Impressionist period, Monet, Manet, etc...amazing collection.

Since I had not seen enough, I left Bob and the girls on the carousel at Jardin des Tuileries and I went to see 6 enormous Monet Waterlily paintings at Musee de l'Organgerie..amazing in their size and color...

I wanted to head to the Modern Art Museum Pompidou Centre, but was outvoted...instead we had an amazing tea at Angeline's for hot chocolates and pastries to die for...home by 7pm on the Eurostar..a wonderful weekend!!

Thanks girls for humoring your old mama.  I loved it - on to Florence!!
