Postcards from Russia - part II

We went to the Russian circus - not a word or letter in English, but somehow, Dad we managed to walk there from the hotel, find our seats and get cotton candy...amazing feat..the circus was centered around the Phantom of the Opera music (all in Russian) with trapeze, high wire, monkeys, brown bears (fed cookies as rewards) and hot young men and woman for 2.5 hours of enjoyment...quite an experience...the girls loved it and I was sad to see the bears chained to the wall between their acts....do we still do this in the US too?
Thought of you Jenn, a bit Cirque de Soile - you know how I love that.
This has been an unforgettable trip..we have come a long way from New Haven - gotten over many anxieties, seen a totally different culture, food, language, alphabet, people, and architecture and the girls have been amazing...they have made comments like, the canals here remind me of Amsterdam, isn't that music from Phantom of the Opera, I miss bacon, fashion in Italy is way better than Russia. (lolo)....
Caviar is everywhere but I am afraid to try..maybe breakfast tomorrow.
I have had half a bottle of champagne so I will have to edit and add more later..a bit soppy and sentimental..I think I am homesick this far from home.
Love you all...we are so lucky to have each other..I think of you all often and wish you were here with us...this blog is my way of keeping you close..Hope you are having Sunday dinner together - wish I was there to encourage it!!
