Hello - long time no blog.

We are back in the swing of everyday life. The house is very nice and we are pretty well settled. Its a super house and we are really enjoying being here. My previous landlady stopped by this week with a cappuccino and an apology for moving us out. She was super nice and I forgave her right away. Hope to get to know her more - she is a fast talking American who I really enjoyed spending an hour with. Four sons and a husband who travels a lot - we know some of the same people and hit it off nicely.

News in no particular order: Lauren was voted president of her class for community service - she is excited about that and will work with her class on hands on community programs rather than raising money to give to charity - that was her platform I guess. She is taking, Latin, French, Spanish, Chemistry, Biology and Physics, as well as History, Philosophy and Math. She is working very hard but is very happy and well adjusted.

Rachel is taking drama class once a week and has asked to take violin lessons so that also is once a week, and practice every day. Broadway watch out - she is getting ready! She is well and is proud to help Megan with her adjustment.

Megan loves Reception (UK code for kindergarten) She trots off in her cute uniform, boater and blazer every morning so so cute and happy to be going to school with her big sisters. She has a good friend named Maria and they are joined at the hip for 7 hours a day. We really like her teachers and all is well.

I have jumped back into some volunteer stuff - activity co chair for the antiques committee at the Kensington Chelsea woman's club (S0 much to learn, so little time), room mom for Rachel's class and I took over the school used uniform store.

I would love to find a job working with someone who flips houses - one of Lauren's friends mom does it - I may ask her if she wants some help. Everything here is done so differently I would have a lot to learn.

Bob has been traveling a lot - last week in the US, this week in Paris and Amsterdam. We miss him and can't wait for the weekend.

We got the tv hooked up yesterday - yeah - this one has Oprah - but of course last season - and last season's hair...if anyone wants to tivo and forward them to me I would be thrilled. I have to go on the website and do the best I can.

Watched a hilarious show last night. A woman did an experiment, she did not wash or bathe for 6 weeks. She wanted to see how sick she would get, how smelly, (not as bad as she thought) what would happen to her hair (she was told it would self clean after 4-5 weeks - wrong). She created her own natural deodorant - heard there was a link between the chemicals in deodorant and breast cancer. The worst part was not the smell but her teeth - poor thing they were in tough shape - but she did not get sick - not even a cold. Imagine...it was so well done and she was so funny I found myself laughing out loud like I used to when I watched Seinfeld.

Anyway, the tv here is different - but so so funny and the humor is so genuine.

So, tomorrow I need to get ready for Rachel's birthday party this weekend - we are going to see Hairspray (yes, Cindy third time) with the class. Wish you could all join us!!

Lots of love from London
Amy
