Saturday June 16th..Happy Father's Day..Goodbye Zeigler's..Hello Mimi and Papa

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful men in our family! You need to enjoy this day and relax - same as most I imagine!!

Mimi and Papa are taking London by storm! Papa has memorized the maps and can make his way around the city via tube and bus- after only 3 days. He loves to walk around Kensington picking up things, running errands, determining what time mass is, dropping off dry cleaning, grabbing his own lunch. I give him a few requests and he is off and running - fabulous!! Bravo!!

On Wednesday when they arrived we took them to lunch across the river at the OXO Tower...a lovely restaurant on the river overlooking the river, Westminster, St Paul's cathedral and the London Eye...irradic service but really yummy food and views. Saw the sights and said goodbye to Bob who was off to NYC for 24 hours then back to Kensington to show them our neighborhood. They were able to stay awake all day - well, Mimi fell asleep in the cab for a little while.

The next day, Mimi, Papa and I went to explore the Tower of London and a boat cruise on the Thames to see the city from the water side. Papa has also made his way to the Science Museam - all by himself!

Papa and Lauren saw Pirates of the Caribbeen the other night and really enjoyed all 3.5 hours of it! Lauren loves Johnny Deep.

Mimi and Papa have been able to carve some time out of their site seeing to spend time at the girls' schools, seeing Rachel perform her class play Demeter and Persephone, and read a book to Megan's class and stay for art class - sorry about the paint splatter Mimi - next time I will get you a smock. Papa reading Miss Merry Mack to a class of non english speaking 4 year olds is available for viewing...priceless...

Rachel's best friend Grey came to visit. We had a lovely afternoon of tea at the Ritz, and then Rachel slept over and they went to Burroughs Market and Portobello Road..then we all met up to see the musical Wicked. Papa fell asleep during the first Act - unbelievable.

It's so great to see good friends, but so sad to say goodbye. Thank you for coming Stephanie and Grey!

We all went to Portobello Market and then went home to watch the movie Notting Hill -fun time and lots of shopping and site seeing!

Today we are off to Cambridge to visit the grave of GrandPapa Wilson's brother Paul Wilson who was buried here after being killed during Normandy invasion practice exercises here in England. We will then see Cambridge University and see the sites.

Who is coming to see us next? The room is available and we will show you a good time!!

Love to you all
Amy
