Tuesday Morning Jan 2nd- Ice Skating

Good morning...Well I missed yesterday's blog as we had a busy day and I crashed when we got home.
Up and out to our Ice Skating appointment at noon at the Natural History Museum..Rachel and Lauren did very well and Megan got the hang of things by the end of the hour...It was chilly but not raining so we enjoyed it!!
The people here have been so nice and friendly. One woman felt bad for me with Rachel and Megan on the ice and held my bag so I could help them. Everyone is smiling and helpful. The man at the tube station realized we were purchasing the wrong tickets and jumped in "to save us a quid"..whatever is a quid we never figured out..I will google it later. The tube is really a great way to get around..especially in the constant rain. We never go anywhere without our little umbrellas in my purse and our new tube passes.
Then back to the house to grab our bikes and go to Holland Park playground..what a great playground...lots of fun climbing and riding and all sorts of fun for kids..the gardens will be great in the Spring...it reminds me of Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, can't wait to see it in bloom! There is a bit of a remaining castle in there..I did a quick Google to understand some history....
http://www.siue.edu/~ejoy/HollandHouseLibraryText.htmHome all muddy and tired..legs of jelly from the bike riding, climbing and skating..some laundry at the house..not easy with these European machines...needed to do some instructional reading.
Dinner..almost at Sticky Fingers again but moved next door to some yummy new place..a bit sophisticated for us but nice. Then back to the hotel to crash.
Sun is out..let's hope for the best
Love and kisses..
Amy
