Happy Birthdat Papa!!

Hello to all and Warm Happy Birthday to my dear Father!!
(Sorry not to be joining you tonight for broccoli and macaroni and marble cake..love you )

We had a very upsy downsy day yesterday, I found myself very emotional, both negative and positive.

We drove out to the countryside to shop for the remainder of Lauren's school uniform- she begins school on Thursday. That went well, very friendly people and Lauren loves her all black dancing tshirt, nylon track pants and dance shoes :(

Then off to Bob's office to pick him up and do a bit of work...I am trying to change our Citibank Master card for the kind they use here with a chip in it..never heard of it in the US - need to apply to a UK bank for that. UK says I need a bank account..well I can't without proof of residency here, as the lease is in Ge's name, so they say how about a utility bill - but I can't get the utilities in my name without a bank account. I am so frustrated...at home I can get things done....here everything has to go through Bob who is not always available to do all the things I need to do...so, we have no credit card, (n0 chip), no tv (no bank account) and no bank account that I can use legally. Bob made a deposit into our new UK ...ooops.HIS new UK bank account and they said it will take 4 weeks to post. That is when I sat down in the bank and lost it. A bit down hill from there. Went to look at UK cell phones - that always cheers me up, well, can't do that without Bob..anyway..I said let's go get hot chocolates from Starbucks and eat ...that helped a little, chocolate usually does.

We enjoyed the sites and shops in Berkely Square, very charming section on Mayfair...things brightened a bit....it wasn't raining..I need to work on my patience anyway everyone seems to tell me.

Ok, then we got a call that made our day...we secured tickets for the Lion King!!! We had two hours to find some clean clothes (Not many left after 5 days in a hotel) eat something quick - not easy with room service...and race out. IT WAS TERRIFIC!!! For those who have not been the costumes are unbelievable....and the scenery...wow...that is the one to see when you are here if you haven't seen it already. We left the theatres happy and joyful for the experience.

I know, I need to learn not to sweat the small stuff, but sometimes that what my life is made of.

Big picture - the girls are happy and having a good time...they want to ride bikes to the park again today and I need to do laundry. Our air stuff arrives tomorrow and they hope to deliver our furniture next week - Wed to Friday. The hotel is lovely and very accomadating.

Lauren starts school tomorrow...please send her your positive energy for a successful start.
Bob is in Florida until the weekend at a Manager meeting in Boca.

Love to you all!!

Hi! Getting settled is the hardest part. Lauren, everything will be great tomorrow - if nothing else, the kids will like the way you talk! We're thinking about all of you! E and J
