Saturday Dec 30th

Hello All..slept until 9:30 this time…(did not get to bed until almost 3am..on the computer chatting to Cindy and Papa..trying to work out the bugs)…woke the rest of the gang soon after…beautiful sunny morning..wow, no rain..yeah! Enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the hotel, odd bacon here, its more like a piece of flaccid ham, I sent it back to be cooked until almost burnt (Bob was so embarrassed). Then we ran off to get our hair cut, and then off for school uniforms for Rachel.…so so cute…she wore her new jacket the rest of the day. Then the rain came…all day long, hard then harder…so much for our new hair do’s. Rain is not good for the ‘do. 

 We went to look at bikes and picked one up for R and M then back to the empty house to ride them around inside and drop off Rachel’s uniforms. Dinner again at Sticky Fingers..early this time because we had no lunch and it was not at all smokey. Once again delicious…Then to the bookshop for an hour ..not the same lounge around the atmosphere as we are used to but we made do…and a fun tube ride home. (saw 2 women kissing..oh Lauren says making out, Bob was bummed he didn’t notice, not a lot of kissing or making out on metro north hahah) The highlights of the day were the walking around the city and the tube ride home. So far so good…We are all pretty happy so far, enjoying the sites, sounds and adventures of a new place. 

 Lots of laughs and lots of walking (and rain). Lots of family togetherness. We have looked into churches in our neighborhood and are going to mass in the morning to see what’s what. Miss you all, sorry to hear Em and Josh were a bit sick.
